Diane is a novelist, short story writer and playwright. Her NY-noir crime novel Nobody Wakes Up Pretty!, has just been accepted for publication by Rainstorm Press. Her novelRadiant Hunger appeared as an excerpt in Kenyon Review and is available through IUniverse. Her short story collection California Transit received the Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction. As a political activist, she has written plays on immigration and recently co-authored a book with Hector Aristizabal on his true story of surviving civil war and torture in Colombia, and how he uses art, imagination and activism to help heal himself and others. and her on Diane Lefer at
